I grew up watching this movie (I'm 31) many many many times. I became a truck driver because of this movie. I quote random scenes from it and can regurgitate 90% of the dialogue and songs at a seconds notice. I love this movie. It, in my opinion, encapsulates the 70's era vibe in a way a lot of other movies don't. Obviously, I wasn't even close to alive (my parents were still in school 😂) so I have no idea if that's a correct assessment. But dammit, this movie and these characters are a staple in American history. And the process to make the movie should be an inspiration to anyone who thinks you need a big budget or backing to make an iconic film. You don't.
